Well, this year the Curse is the Old Yarmouth Inn's problem, suckahs! All I need to worry about is figuring out if I'm eating turkey or turkey, or turkey (I'm a traditionalist, I s'pose). And sometime tomorrow night I'll get absurdly hungry and insist my husband take me to a D'Angelos for a turkey sandwich. And I'll sign some stock at the Hyannis B&N. And find and devour another sandwich. Because that's what the holidays are all about: me stuffing myself until all I can do is flop on the floor and moan, "No...more...turkey."
Mmm...turkey...by which I mean Happy Thanksgiving!
(Is it weird that after blogging this I really want some turkey?)

On Wed and Thurs I cooked a turkey for mom and another for dad. Both had the same recipe and cooking but 2 outcomes. the first one was a little dry and the second was moist. oh well I'll use the same recipe next year
We don't eat until 6 on the holidays because I am sooo past the point of getting up at dawn to start dealing with the bird. Put the bird in the oven by 12:30. I'm allergic to onions, garlic, and peppers so I'm a control freak. I make my own stuffing and add the spices myself. I make two gravies because my kids and their spouses hate mushrooms. sigh... But I do buy the pies from our local farmer's market. And then we eat. And eat. And continue eating. It took 3 loads in the dishwasher to clean all of the dishes and silverware!
